June is LGBT Pride month. One way to support the LGBT community is to become educated in one way or another. According to the CDC, 2021, males are four times more likely than females to end their own lives and the risk is greater for transgender, gay, or bisexual individuals. Having knowledge of an LGBT persons identification could be helpful in combatting negative beliefs. One example of how a person could help is to know which flag represents the individual. Knowing which flag represents an individual’s identification presents the opportunity to show your support. I identify as bisexual and my pronouns are She/Her/Hers.
